Remote View on Your Phone: Set Up Camera Live View Anywhere
Most recorders offer a phone app out of the box. Scan the NVR QR, enable P2P, and you get live view and alerts without opening ports.

Remote viewing is expected now, and most IP recorders handle it without network gymnastics.
On a PoE NVR
A PoE NVR ships with a mobile app and a P2P QR code. Scan it in the app, and live view plus playback work from anywhere with no port forwarding. Alerts push to the phone on motion.
Where there is no broadband
A 4G camera streams over cellular by design — ideal for a gate or site office. For two buildings, a wireless bridge extends the LAN so the far camera reaches the same recorder and app.
Keep it secure
Set a strong recorder password, keep firmware current, and use the vendor app rather than opening ports to the internet. If remote view drops, check the power and link first.
Frequently asked
Do I need to open ports for remote view?
Usually no. Modern PoE NVRs use P2P — scan the QR code in the app and you get live view without port forwarding. Opening ports manually is riskier; avoid it.
Can I view cameras with no internet at the site?
A 4G camera streams over cellular by itself. For wired cameras, add a wireless bridge or a cellular uplink at the recorder.
Are SurveilForge accessories compatible with Hikvision, Dahua and Axis cameras?
Yes — they follow open surveillance standards (IEEE 802.3af/at PoE, RJ45, BNC, DC 12V/24V) and work with any brand using those standards, including Hikvision, Dahua and Axis. SurveilForge is an independent brand, not affiliated with any camera OEM.
Can I buy a single unit, or only wholesale?
Standard products are sold as single units in our shop. Custom or OEM branding and volume pricing start at a minimum order of 300 pieces.
